Mumbai: Kishore Kumar, a veteran singer of the cinematic world, was born in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. Lyricist Joshi was honored with the National Kishore Kumar Award for the year 2024 in a grand ceremony organized in the same district. Along with this, the lyricist also expressed his happiness. A function was organized in Khandwa district, in which National Kishore Kumar Award 2024 and Sangeet Sandhya was organised. During this time, famous lyricist Prasun Joshi was honored. Ministers of Madhya Pradesh government were present in the program. Apart from this, MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who attended the function through video conferencing from Bhopal, remembered the funny stories of Kishore Kumar. He also described him as a precious gem of Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, CM also called Prasoon Joshi a magician of words.

What did the lyricist say?
After receiving the honour, lyricist Joshi expressed his gratitude towards the state government. He also said, “I was in school when Kishore Da passed away, but I have written countless songs in my career, I wish he was alive and lent his voice to the songs I wrote.” Along with this, the lyricist said that the artist within Kishore Kumar was like a child and this natural quality remained alive in him without any effort.
